Dr. Sonal Desai is an experienced Cornea, Cataract, and Refractive Surgeon with over a decade of clinical expertise in advanced ophthalmic care. She completed her MBBS and MS in Ophthalmology from the prestigious Seth G.S. Medical College & KEM Hospital, Mumbai, followed by advanced fellowship training in Cornea, Phacoemulsification, and Refractive Surgery from M.M. Joshi Eye Institute, Hubli.

She further strengthened her academic credentials with FICO (International Council of Ophthalmology) and MRCS (Edinburgh) qualifications, reflecting her commitment to international standards of excellence in ophthalmology.

Over the years, Dr. Desai has worked with several reputed institutions across India, including KEM Hospital Mumbai, Giridhar Eye Institute Kochi, Little Flower Hospital Kochi, Healthway Hospital Goa, and Manipal Hospital Goa. She currently practices as a Consultant Cornea and Refractive Surgeon at Isha Netralaya, Kalyan & Ambernath.

Dr. Sonal has extensive experience in the management of corneal disorders, cataract surgery, refractive correction, keratoconus, dry eye disease, ocular trauma, and corneal transplantation. She has performed 3000+ phacoemulsification surgeries, along with numerous therapeutic and optical keratoplasties, ocular surface procedures, and corneal reconstruction surgeries.

Her areas of special interest include keratoconus management, lamellar corneal surgeries, dry eye disease, corneal dystrophies, and laser refractive correction. She is also actively involved in academic teaching, surgical training, eye donation awareness programs, and community outreach initiatives.
