Dr. Archana Malik

About

After completing MBBS and post graduation Dr Archana joined Fellowship in General Ophthalmology in GEI, Chandigarh and acquired more skills in various speciaities during her Senior residency from GMCH, Chandigarh.

She worked in all subspecialities on a rotation basis. She became a proficient cataract surgeon and did many keratolasties during her Cornea posting. Argon laser treatments were done routinely for the Diabetic patients. Yag lasers for Glaucoma and PCO were also commonly done.

She joined as Assistant professorin the same institute and worked in the Cornea, Cataract and Oculoplasty specialities. She did phacoemulsification and Keratoplasty routinely. She started and developed the Oculoplasty services in GMCH and also did a short term observership in Oculoplasty in LV Prasad Eye institute.

After her contract as Assistant Professor got over, she came into private practice and joined Grover Eye hospital( Unit of Vasan eye care at that time). She joined as Senior Consultant with Dr Monica’s Eye Clinic around 5 years back and is continuing till date.

ACHIEVEMENTS

She has around 10 publications in peer reviewed, indexed  journals and 15 publications in non-indexed journals.

She has done 30 paper presentations in National and Regional conferences.

She has worked as an Executive member of COS for one term.

She is a life member of many Ophthalmological societies
