Dr. Bhavatharini is an experienced ophthalmologist with over 15 years of clinical expertise and 25000+ ophthalmic surgical procedures to her credit. She specialises in premium cataract surgery(FLACS/Robotic) , Cornea (PKP/DSEK/DALK/DMEK) , Refractive surgery (SMILE/ SILK/ CONTURA LASIK/ FEMTO LASIK/ PRK/ STREAMLIGHT PRK/ ICL), Ocular surface procedures (SLET/MMG/ K-Pro) and Keratoconus (C3R/CAIRS).

Dr Bhavatharini completed her basic medical training from JJM Medical College, Davangere affiliated to RGUHS, Bangalore. Subsequently, she completed her Masters in Ophthalmology (M.S) training from Joseph eye hospital, Trichy and cleared the Diplomate of National board in ophthalmology (D.N.B). This was followed by a fellowship in Cornea and anterior segment disorders from Aravind eye hospital, Coimbatore.

Dr. Bhavatharini then worked at LV Prasad eye institute in Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam as a consultant in the department of Cornea and Refractive Surgery. She is a Fellow of the International Council of Ophthalmology (F.I.C.O) London. She is also a Member of the Royal college of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MRCS Edinburgh) and a Fellow of Royal college of Surgeons of Glasgow (FRCS Glasgow).

In the past, she has served as a network director of academics at Pushpagiri eye institute, Hyderabad, where she headed the DNB and Fellowship program.
