Dr. Nitish Kumar is an ophthalmologist with extensive experience in comprehensive eye care, cornea, ocular surface, and refractive surgery. He completed his postgraduate training (MS) from the University College of Medical Sciences (UCMS) and Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital, Govt. of NCT, Delhi, followed by senior residency at UCMS, GTB Hospital, and Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital, Delhi.
He further trained in cornea, ocular surface, and vision correction (refractive) surgery through a long-term fellowship at Sankara Eye Hospital, Bengaluru.
With experience across several super-speciality eye care hospitals in Delhi, Dr. Kumar has developed expertise in cataract surgery, corneal transplants, ocular injuries and surface disorders, keratoconus management, corneal cross-linking, and vision correction procedures including PRK, LASIK, and SMILE.
He has performed over 6,000 surgeries, published his work in medical journals, received multiple awards, and presented more than 60 papers and posters at conferences across the country. He has also trained undergraduate and postgraduate students and fellows.
