Dr. Sejal Desai is a skilled Consultant Phaco and Refractive Surgeon with strong academic and clinical credentials. She completed her MBBS in 2001 from Baroda Medical College, M.S. University, Vadodara, followed by DOMS in 2003 from the same institution and SSG Hospital. She further pursued a Glaucoma Fellowship at Aravind Eye Hospital, Tirunelveli in 2004, and later completed a Paediatric Ophthalmology Observership at Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai in 2006. Her professional journey began at SEWA Rural, Jhagadia, Bharuch (2003–2007) as a Consultant Eye Surgeon and Phaco Trainer, after which she served at Gandhi-Lincoln Hospital, Deesa, Banaskantha (2007–2010) and at Sankara Eye Hospital, Mogar, Anand (2010–2013) as Consultant Eye Surgeon. Since November 2013, she has been associated with Eye-Q Super Speciality Eye Hospitals, Vadodara, where she currently practices as a Consultant Phaco & Refractive Surgeon. With a rich surgical background of over 25,000 cataract surgeries (Manual SICS, Phaco, MICS), more than 6,000 premium IOL implantations (EDOF, Multifocal, Toric), 1,000+ glaucoma surgeries, 150+ DCR & lid procedures and 6,000+ laser interventions, she also holds expertise in paediatric cataracts, traumatic ocular surgeries, and the diagnosis and management of retina and glaucoma cases. Dr. Desai is an active member of several esteemed medical associations including AIOS, BOS, DOS, GOS, and IMA.
