Meet Dr. Madhur A Hingorani
Dr. Madhur A. Hingorani began his ophthalmology training at IPGMER–SSKM Hospital, Kolkata, and completed his postgraduate studies at RIO Sitapur, one of India’s oldest and most respected eye-care institutions. He went on to serve as Consultant Eye Surgeon, Principal of the School of Optometry, and Unit Head at Sitapur, where he strengthened surgical training, academic programs, and patient care systems.
With expertise in cataract, glaucoma, and corneal disorders, Dr. Hingorani has performed over 10,000 cataract surgeries, demonstrating outstanding surgical precision and patient-centered care. He also contributed to improved management and research initiatives in glaucoma and corneal diseases, promoting early diagnosis and tailored treatments.
Upon returning to Kolkata, he expanded his work into community ophthalmology, combining his specialty practice with public health outreach to reduce preventable blindness and improve access to quality eye care.
