Overview

This fellowship program offers a comprehensive training in the diagnosis and management of medical and surgical diseases of the vitreous and retina. It also involves training in cataract surgeries to enable the fellow to evolve as a complete surgeon.

Course Duration

Medical Retina - 6 Months
Surgical Retina - 2 Years

MS/DO/DNB in Ophthalmology

 

Fellowship Details

This fellowship program offers a comprehensive training in the diagnosis and management of medical and surgical diseases of the vitreous and retina. It also involves training in cataract surgeries to enable the fellow to evolve as a complete surgeon.

 

Academic Activities

  • Indirect ophthalmology
  • Interpretation & Clinical Correlation of Fundus Fluorescein Angiography, Optical coherence tomography and Ultrasonography
  • Lasers and Cryopexy
  • Administration of intravitreal injections

 

Hands-on Surgical Training

  • Scleral buckling
  • Retinal detachment surgeries
  • Pars plana vitrectomies (Vitreous haemorrhage, Nucleus drop, IOL drop, Endophthalmitis)
  • Macular surgeries
  • Ocular trauma cases
  • Phaco & Glued IOLs

 

Dates not be missed

Intake of fellows will be twice a year.


October Batch

  • Last date for submission of Applications: 2nd Week of July
  • Interview Dates: 1st Week of August
  • Course Commencement 1st Week of October

 
April Batch

  • Last date for submission of Applications: 15th March 2021
  • Interview Dates: 3rd week of March 2021
