Prof. Dr. Jeewan Singh Titiyal is a highly distinguished ophthalmologist and Padma Shri awardee (2014) with over four decades of experience in Cornea, Cataract, and Refractive Surgery. As Regional Head of Clinical Services at New Delhi for Dr. Agarwal’s Eye Hospital, and former Chief of the Dr. R. P. Centre for Ophthalmic Sciences at AIIMS, he has performed more than 100,000 ophthalmic surgeries for patients from every walk of life.
A globally recognized researcher and educator, Prof. Titiyal has over 500 publications, more than 9,000 citations, and seven authored books, and features on the Stanford University list of the top two percent most-cited scientists worldwide. He was the first Indian to perform live surgery at the ASCRS in the USA.
Known for his patient-first approach and lifelong commitment to teaching, he has trained over 2,000 ophthalmologists and extended eye care to remote tribal regions across India.

As President (Elect) of the All India Ophthalmological Society and Regional Head of Clinical Services, he shapes the future of ophthalmic care and education nationally.
With four decades of pioneering work in cornea and refractive surgery across India and the world, Prof. Titiyal has earned the highest honors in the field.
Conferred the Padma Shri for outstanding contribution to Medicine (Ophthalmology) by the President of India, 2014.
Awarded FRCOphth Fellowship by the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, London, UK, 2022.
Received the Senior Achievement Award by the American Academy of Ophthalmology (2016) and the APAO Distinguished Service Award (2021).
Honored with the Doctor of Science (D.Sc., Honoris Causa) by Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Uttarakhand Medical University, 2021.
