Dr. Pooja Bhatlavande is a skilled Vitreo-Retina and Uvea Specialist with over 7 years of experience in ophthalmology. She completed her MBBS from RCSM Government Medical College, Kolhapur, followed by DNB Ophthalmology from Anand Eye Hospital, Jaipur, where she built a strong foundation in comprehensive ophthalmic care and anterior segment surgery.

During her residency, she gained extensive experience in managing a broad spectrum of eye disorders including cataract, glaucoma, corneal, retinal, and oculoplastic conditions, along with surgical training in SICS, phacoemulsification, pterygium excision, C3R, ptosis correction, and other anterior segment procedures.

Dr. Pooja further specialized through a Fellowship in Vitreoretinal Surgery (FVRS) from the renowned Aravind Eye Hospital, Coimbatore, where she received advanced training in the medical and surgical management of retinal diseases. Her expertise includes the treatment of diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein occlusions, hypertensive retinopathy, macular disorders, retinal detachments, and degenerative retinal diseases.

She is proficient in performing retinal laser procedures, intravitreal injections, and complex vitreoretinal surgeries, including vitrectomy for retinal detachment, diabetic vitreoretinal disease, macular hole, epiretinal membrane (ERM), vitreomacular traction (VMT), and SFIOL implantation. She also has a keen clinical interest in the management of uveal disorders.

Prior to joining her current role, Dr. Pooja served as a consultant at Aravind Eye Hospital, Coimbatore, followed by Anil Eye Hospital, Dombivli, gaining valuable experience in both tertiary and high-volume clinical settings.
